“He was a source of guidance till the last. Though, I have retired from the company, but he continued to be its chairman,” she said.

“Dharamvir Bector was a gold-mediallist in Geography and had bagged a scholarship from Oxford University. But, he was the only son, so I insisted that he should stay back,” she added.

He guided me in starting and managing the business and was a very humble and kind-hearted person, she said.

Dharamvir Bector was especially concerned about the wellbeing of girls and was involved in a number of welfare activities. He was member of the management committee at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and had sponsored the education of several students as well.

Anoop Bector, Managing Director, Mrs Bector’s Cremica, remembered his father as visionary and optimist.

“We have always been inspired by his uprightness. He has been a guiding factor of the organisation,” he said.
