Ludhiana, November 15
The Ludhiana branch of Indian Dental Association (IDA) will host the 57th Punjab State Dental Conference at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan here from November 17 to November 19. The Punjab Medical Education, Research, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Brahm Mohindra, will preside over the inaugural ceremony in the presence of Dr Dibeyndu Mazumdar, President, Dental Council of India and Dr Puneet Girdhar, Registrat, Punjab Dental Council, among other diginitaries.
Giving this information at a news conference here, Dr Atamjeet Singh, Secretary of IDA Ludhiana, said the State Dental Council was being hosted in Ludhiana after a gap of nine years. The conference will be attended by some 1,500 delegates from across the state and neighbouring states such as Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir. Sudents from 22 dental colleges in the region will also attend this event.
He said a comprehensive scientific bonanza of over 20 hours duration spread over three days will be the highlight of the meet which would have 15 eminent speakers from across the country. —TNS
