Class X students of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) appeared in their first exam today. Most of the students found Punjabi exam relatively easy.

Gurishwar Singh Malhotra, a student of Class X said, "Punjabi exam was very easy and students were happy that there were no tough questions in the paper. If such papers are set, I will definitely score good marks in the exams."

At the same time, Class XII students found Physics exam a bit difficult.

Kriti, a Class XII student said, “I prepared well for the exam, but I found it difficult. Majority of the questions came from the NCERT book and our tutors had asked us to go through private publications as well. We focused much on other books."

Nankana Public School principal Harmit Kaur said the exam was easy for those students who focused on the NCERT and the ones who prepared from other books were not that happy.

“For the last three -four years, almost entire papers are being set from the NCERT books, while students rely more on private publications. They can go through other books as well but not at the cost of their prescribed NCERT syllabus. Private tutors should not complicate things for students and should focus on teaching the NCERT books," said the Principal.
