Christian Dental College (CDC), Ludhiana, organised a continuing dental education programme on forensic odontology.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Abraham G Thomas, CMC Director. He emphasised on the importance of developing forensic investigations with more subspecialties such as forensic odontology. William Bhatti, Medical Superintendent, CMC, Ludhiana, appreciated the efforts of the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Department in organising the conference. As many as 250 delegates from Punjab and neighboring states had participated in the programme.
Main speakers at the conference were Prof OP Jasuja, Department of Forensic Science, Punjabi University, Patiala; Aman Chowdhry, Associate Professor, Faculty of Dental Science, Jamia Millia Islamia; Dr Deepti Sharma, Assistant Professor, Christian Dental College. Dr Priyanka Kapoor gave a lecture and conducted a hands-on programme on the dental age estimation.
