Gobindgarh Public College, Alour (Khanna), felt proud to have received the ‘Best NSS Unit’ award amongst 144 colleges affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, in the annual function organised by the NSS department of the university on its PU campus on April 25.
Professor Shankarji Jha, Dean University Instrutions; Bikram Rana, State Liaison Officer; and Navdeep Sharma, NSS Co-ordinator, Panjab University, Chandigarh, felicitated Principal Neena Seth Pajni and NSS programme officers Mandeep Singh and Rupinder Kaur.
The college received the award for its valuable contribution to promotion of social issues under the theme “Swachh Bharat”, wherein it organised blood-donation camp, water conservation events and discussions on first-aid and hygiene.
Chairman of the college Swaranjit Singh Bagli, along with the principal, Neena Seth Pajini, congratulated the programme officers, volunteers and students on their achievement.
