Cops trace abducted child within two hours

A team of the Division Number 3 police station rescued a minor boy within two hours of his kidnapping on Monday.
Six-year-old Arshdeep Singh of the Dharampura area here was kidnapped by a resident of the same area in the noon. Sanjay allegedly kidnapped the child, a student of LKG, who was playing near his house, with the motive of selling him for money.
When the child went missing, his family started searching for him. When they failed to trace the child, they informed the police. A police team, led by ASI Surinder Singh, visited the Dharampura area. During the course of investigation, the police learnt that a man had lured away the child by offering him candies.
“We formed teams and launched a massive search operation to trace the child. Within two hours, the police found the accused and the child at the railway station. We arrested the accused and hand over the child to his family,” said Kamaldeep.
Arshdeep’s father, Satnam Singh have thanked the police for rescuing the child.
