The rage for ‘Hawai Adda’, the restaurant offering Indian, Chinese and North Indian cuisines, continues as residents/visitors look inquisitive to visit the place on a regular basis.
Located in the heart of the city, on Ferozpur Road, near Verka Milk Plant, the restaurant attracts people because of its ambience.
Rajita Aggarwal, a home-maker, said her relatives specially ask her to take them to the restaurant as it would be a unique experience to taste delicacies in such a relaxed atmosphere.
The owner of the restaurant has created the dining space inside of an actual aircraft. Once an Airbus 320 that flew for Air India, the airplane has been transformed into a stylish restaurant and has been given the name ‘Hawai Adda’.
The space for the restaurant has been provided by Milkfed on a three years’ lease. The lease date will expire on March 31, 2018. The owner is paying Rs 1 lakh per month to Milkfed as lease money.
Shruti, a student at Government College for Girls, said she visited ‘Hawai Adda’ regularly as it was innovative. “During weekends, there is long wait for the table. But, while sitting inside the aircraft I get a nice feeling. I prefer to come here with friends,” said Shruti.
