Ludhiana, July 3
In a bid to impart vocational training to dairy farmers and youths desirous to take dairy farming as a profession, the Dairy Department will start a training course for which counselling will be held on July 9.
Bijan Training and Extension Centre Deputy Director Dairy-cum-Incharge Dilbagh Singh Hans said counselling for selecting candidates will commence at 10 am the Centre.
He said during training, different topics, including breed improvement, nutrition diet management, care and maintenance of milch animals, schemes and others will be covered.
“Experts from the Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University will share their experience with dairy farmers and youngsters,” he said while adding that short movies will also be shown to candidates.
Hans said practical training will be given at dairy farms and free literature will be distributed to candidates which will enable them to have adequate knowledge about the dairy sector. He also motivated youths to adopt dairy farming and earn huge profit besides, taking benefits of the government schemes.
