Dayanand College prof gets research award

Ludhiana, February 28

Dr Omesh Goyal, Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, has been felicitated with the Physicians Research Forum Best Research Award.

Dr Goyal is a native of Joga town of Malwa region.

The award was given by the Association of Physicians of India during a conference held in Bengaluru recently.

Dr Goyal informed that more than 7,000 physicians had participated in the event and as many as 1,100 researchers presented their papers. Dr Goyal was chosen for the award in recognition of his research work with Dr Sandeep Sidhu and Harsh Kishore, which focused on the treatment of liver cirrhosis with live coma. — TNS
