Degrees conferred on 200 pass-outs
Samrala, October 7
Malwa College, Bondli, Samrala, today held a convocation for the graduates and postgraduates of the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 batches. The ceremony was inaugurated with ‘shabad’ recitation by students of the music department of the college. Degrees were conferred on 200 pass-outs.
Suresh Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, was the chief guest at the function. He was given a floral welcome by Dr. Jaspal Singh, principal, and office bearers of the Malwa College council.
Balbir Singh Rejewal, president of the college management, delivered a welcome speech on the occasion. He called the chief guest a man of principles and high character.
The principal presented the annual report, where he highlighted the achievements of the institution in NCC, NSS, sports and co-curricular activities of various departments.
He congratulated the pass-outs and appreciated the staff members for guiding them to be good citizens of the country. He highlighted contemporary issues and exhorted the gathering to contribute to the progress of the nation. A vote of thanks was proposed by Rajewal.
