Ludhiana, November 30
Dr Daljit Singh, former Principal, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Amritsar.
With over 36 years of teaching experience and a rich administrative experience at the CMC and DMCH, Ludhiana, Dr Daljit has given a charge to lead the emerging medical university being run by the SGPC trust. Earlier, he occupied various positions at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, as Dean of Faculty of Medical Sciences, Member of Senate, Academic Council and UG/PG Board of Studies.
Dr Daljit is a fellow of Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), National Neonatology Forum (NNF), National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS) and International Medical Sciences Academy (FIMSA).
He was awarded fellowship of for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) Institute, Philadelphia, USA, and was visiting fellow in pediatric pulmonology at Royal College of Physicians, RCPCH, UK.
The secretary of the DMCH managing society, Prem Kumar Gupta, congratulated Dr Daljit Singh.
