Members of the Nigran Sewa Sanstha have started tying reflector belts on the necks of stray cattle to curb road accidents at Dana Mandi near Gill Road in Ludhiana today.
Jaswant Singh Dhanjal, a member of the organisation, said reflector belts were tied on the necks of stray cattle. He further said these reflector belts would help to avoid mishaps in coming foggy days.
The organisation members said the reflector belts would be tied on the necks of stray cattle at Tajpur Road, Sahnewal and various other parts of the district in coming days.
It is required to mention that stray cattle roaming on various highways and roads have caused many fatal incidents and there is a dire need to take concrete measures to avert such incidents.
