Participants from Punjab scripted easy wins in the qualifying round matches on the opening day of the All-India Tennis Association (AITA) Championship Series Tournament for Boys and Girls (U-12 and 14) being organised by the Ace Tennis Academy at New Senior Secondary School, Sarabha Nagar, here on Saturday.
Vikramjeet Singh, tournament director, said around 150 participants from different parts of the country would participate in this championship that would conclude on May 11.
In the boys’ U-14 category, players from Punjab, who came out victorious on Saturday, include Manjot Singh, Damanpreet Singh, Sikander Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Aradhya Kapoor, Parminder Singh, Gurnoor Singh, Sukhraj Singh, Chahalpreet Singh and Shantanu Nagrath.
