Ludhiana, November 1
The sub-regional office of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas today. Vigilance Awareness Week is also being observed by the organisation, said the staff. The week started with employees taking a pledge for a corruption free society. A seminar was organised on the premises of the ESIC on the subject “My vision- corruption free India”.
While addressing the gathering PK Narula, director, ESIC, said, “All citizens should participate to eradicate corruption from society at large.”
Gaganpreet Singh Tiwana, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner said, “To remove corruption from government offices all need to be law abiding citizens. Moral values should be inculcated in children so that they become honest citizens of the country.”
A quiz and a health checkup and awareness programme were also organised to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. — TNS
