Ludhiana: As a regular feature of the college activities, an extension lecture was organised at the Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Civil Lines. Dr Khushvinder Kumar, principal of the MM Modi College, Patiala, and president council of Teacher Education(chapter Punjab) was invited as the resource person.  The programme was started with recitation of ‘shabad’. Khushvinder Kumar presented his views regarding the research in the field of special education. He emphasised the importance of special education and also said very few researches were being conducted in this field with the help of data from various universities of the north India. He said many colleges denied the admission to the special children, whereas we all talk about the integrated and inclusive education.

Inter-college cycling competition 

An inter-college cycling competition was organised at Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology. As many as 80 participants from eight college participated in the competition. The event was flagged by Vijay Gupta, Chairman, LCET. Mohit Bassi GNE ,Inderjit Singh LCET ,Rahul Kumar Rayat & Bahra in 100 metere sprint, whereas in 200 metre sprint, Sidharth Saini and Mohit Bassi of the GNE  and Inderjit Singh of the LCET were declared first, second and third respectively. —TNS
