The Khanna police claimed to have arrested five proclaimed offenders (POs) who were wanted in two different cases.
Khanna SSP Gursharandeep Singh Grewal said a police party was patrolling near Maloud when they got the information about Karnail Singh, Lali, Prem Singh and Sandeep Singh wanted in a case registered under Sections 323, 324, 341, 506 and 34 of the IPC at Maloud police station. The police party arrested the four abovesaid persons who were absconding since 2013.
The SSP said another police party arrested Pargat Singh, a resident of Sadowal village in Barnala district who was absconding in a case registered in 2017. The SSP said cases under Section 174-A of the IPC had been registered in respective police stations and the alleged accused would be presented in a court for further questioning and legal action in this regard.
