Fusion of cultural activities at engg college

A two-day cultural function,’Anand Utsav-2019’, was inaugurated at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College here today.
The function is to make students passionate about participating in various cultural activities. The function was inaugurated by Dr Nirmal Jaura, Dean, Student Welfare, Punjab University, Chandigarh, who is also a theater artiste, writer and TV presenter.
Ranjodh Singh from GS Group of Companies was the guest of honour.
Harmeet Singh, chairman, cultural committee of the college, said the event will pave way for enhancing co-curricular activities. It will provide a bundle of opportunities to students from different institutes such as DAV College, Jalandhar; Trinity College, Jalandhar; CT College, Jalandhar; GGN College, Ludhiana; Khalsa College, Ludhiana; and Khalsa College, Amritsar, to participate in various cultural events.
The first day of the event witnessed a fusion of 12 cultural events, including skit and mimicry, western solo, light vocal solo, exhibitions, photography, mehndi, and several others. The panel of judges comprised Prof Amanpreet Kaur Sodhi, Dr Harmeet Singh, Rajinder Raja.
