Ludhiana, July 15
The Education Department has issued diktat to school heads to generate school leaving certificate (SLC) of students at ePunjab portal failing which admission process of students in new schools will take a hit.
Besides, school heads have been told to upload appropriate details of student and generate SLC immediately after a student leaves the school. This will enable to shift record of a student concerned to a new school.
The school concerned will be held responsible for delaying the process of shifting record of a student. However, ePunjab portal has been misued in the past wherein school leaving certificates of six students of Government Senior Seconday School, Nasrali, were generated without principal’s consent and transferred to Government Senior Seconday School, Isru. Later, the department had marked an inquiry in June.
Record related to students uploaded on ePunjab portal is accessed by the Education Department, Health Department and Government of India.
