GGN Khalsa College student in PU merit list

Ludhiana: A student of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, secured X position in the post graduate diploma exams, conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Simran Mann gave credit of her success to the college management, teachers and her parents. College Principal Arvinder Singh congratulated Simran for her achievement.

Seminar held at MTSMC

A seminar on Right to Service Act 2011 was organised at the Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women Ludhiana on Thursday. ASI Pardeep Kumar from police station Sanjh Kendra, Haibowal Kalan, apprised the students of the different safety applications. Pushpa Sahni, member sub-division Sanjh Kendra, North Ludhiana, also shared her views on Right to Service Act. All speakers motivated the students to download such apps so that they could feel safe anywhere and everywhere. Inspector Ranjit Singh, Incharge District Sanjh Kendra was honoured on the occasion.

Two students of Partap College top district

Two students of the Partap College of Education, Ludhiana, have topped the district in Diploma in Elementary Education, first year. Navjot Kaur bagged first position in the district by scoring 87.3 per cent marks. Nisha secured second position with 87.1 per cent marks. Both girls attributed their success to college teachers and their parents. College Principal Dr Balwant Singh and Vice-Principal Manpreet Kaur congratulated the students and their parents on the success.

Laurels for Guru Nanak Girls College

A college student, Poonam Bisht, bagged the first position in the college by securing 62.6 per cent marks. Khushdeep Kaur bagged the second position by securing 62.2 per cent marks. Palak stood third in the college by securing 60.8 per cent marks. Congratulating the students and faculty members for the success, College Principal Charanjit Mahal, said, the stupendous results were a result of untiring efforts made by the students and their mentors.— TNS
