Desh Bhagat Global School celebrated Teej with full zest and zeal. The celebration started with a special assembly held to make students aware of their culture and heritage.
Desh Bhagat United Chairman Dr Zora Singh was the chief guest. He said it was a popular festival and had a special charm not only for girls but for the elderly ladies as well. Director Dr Surjit Patheja graced the event as the guest of honour. Students were dressed up in colourful traditional attires and gave wonderful performances. Students took part in mehndi, rangoli, drawing, dance and singing competitions. The highlight of the event was giddha and boliyan competition. The Miss Teej crown was given to Noorinder Kaur from the senior wing and to Angelpreet Kaur from the junior wing. In mehndi competition, Veermati, Anmol and Simran were adjudged first, second and third, respectively, while Karman received a consolation prize. — OC
