Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh, when contacted said, “The basic motive of organising these festivals, apart from talent exposition, is an effort to revive the elapsed cultural heritage especially in the youngsters who are regarded to be the befitting guardians of our prosperous cultural past. It is keeping this in view that most of these festivals are being carried out from rural institutes, where the cultural tradition is still valued and preserved to a good extent.”

General Secretary of the College Management Committee, Harpratap Brar, said the college has a special reason to host the festival. “We have students who basically belong to rural background. This time we have made some special efforts to plan various activities in a way that most of the students are involved in one or the other activity going on in the college as a matter of routine. This festival shall further boost the morale of our students as they shall compete with those of other colleges.”
