Govt College Ludhiana (East) to offer admission in BA first year

Ludhiana, July 30
Students who could not get admission at the two government colleges should not feel disheartened as the option of getting admission at third government college is still viable for them.
The admission procedure of the newly constituted Government College Ludhiana (East) which is a co-educational institute will begin from August 1. Situated on the Chandigarh Road, this will be the first academic session.
Under graduation courses, including BCom, BA, BSc, BBA and BCA will be offered, however, in the first year only BA course will be available.
The college will prove a boon especially for the weaker section of the society as private colleges charge exorbitant fee. Generally it has been witnessed that students belonging to lower strata discontinue their studies owing to costly fee structure.
Sanjeev Talwar, MLA (East) took the initiative of starting this college to cater to the educational requirements of local students. Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu said students can now get quality education right at their doorstep.
