Grandparents Day celebrated

Kinder Pillar Ivy School, Barewal Road, celebrated Grandparents  Day. The main motive was to show warmth to garndparents. Students played games, danced on their favourite tracks, enjoyed homemade food, etc. A cultural programme was also held on the occasion, which commenced with a welcome song for grandparents.

Conservation Day celebrated

Sri Guru Hargobind Public Senior Secondary School, Thakkarwal, celebrated ‘World Nature Conservation Day’. Tiny tots recited poems and planted saplings at school premises. A debate competition was also held for senior students.

Pool party organised

Cherubs Pre School held a pool party for students. The poolside was decorated with balloons, balls and buntings. Tables were arranged with colourful umbrellas which added colour to the party.

Saplings planted 

NCC students of Blossoms Convent School planted saplings in presence of the NCC cadet team of Ludhiana. Students planted different types of plants. School principal Amarjit Kaur Naaz said that human beings play a great role in damaging the environment.

Exhibition organised

Police DAV Public School, Police Line, held an exhibition ‘Bounties of nature and say no to plastic pollution’. Value-oriented holidays homework was assigned to students to enhance their creative skills. Students put up an array of exhibits, including posters, charts, models etc on assigned themes.

Students shine

 ‘Hybrid vehicle’ project made by Jagjeewan Singh and Harwinder Singh of Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Public School was selected by the ATL Innovation Mission. As many as 20 schools in India have been selected.

Environment Week celebrated

Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar celebrated  ‘Go Green Week’. Tiny tots and their teachers observed the Environment Week with an array of fun, interactive and educational activities. Students highlighted points, including electricity conservation, pooling of vehicle to save fuel, need to use paper bags, water shortage and planting saplings.

Ryan International School

Environment Week was celebrated at Ryan International School wherein tiny tots of Montessori were taught to keep their surroundings clean and plant from saplings. They enjoyed various activities, including plantation drive and scavenger games.

Inter-house quiz held 

An inter-house quiz competition was organised at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School. The contest comprised four rounds i.e. true/false, rapid fire, MCQ and one-word answer. Shastri House won the first position in the competition.

Idea expo held 

Eastwood International School, Mullanpur organised an annual exhibition ‘IDEA EXPO-2018’. Models depicting creative and scientific outlook of youngsters were a centre of attraction. Principal Dr Bakshi emphasised that innovative activities expand mental outlook of students and also help in their overall development as it proves beneficial in this competitive world.—TNS
