Gurpreet Kaur adjudged best athlete

Gurpreet Kaur, a student of BA-II, stamped her superiority and was adjudged the best athlete, while Hardeep Kaur of MA-I was declared the best player in the 75th annual athletics meet of Government College for Girls that concluded here today.
Kuldeep Singh Vaid, an IAS (retd) and MLA from Gill constituency, was the chief guest. He was welcomed by Principal Dharam Singh Sandhu, vice-principal Sharnjeet Kaur and the faculty.
The chief guest advised students to follow traffic rules for safe driving and motivated them to empower themselves to face the difficulties of life.
The most intriguing aspect of the event was the splendid field display, involving mass participation by students on the field. Another highlight of the closing ceremony was gatka and giddha performance by students.
Krishan Singh, former principal; Jaswant Singh, Principal, Government College, Karamsar; Rashmi Grover, Rani Harinder, SN Singh, Kusum, Usha, Ravinder Kaur, Sudarshan Mehta and members of the PTA were also present on the occasion.
