Health Dept finds larvae in city hospitals

The Health Department conducted a checking at various hospitals on Friday, which is the dry day of the week.
The anti-larvae wing of the department, on the directions of Civil Surgeon Dr Parvinder Pal Singh Sidhu and under the supervision of District Epidemologist Dr Ramesh, conducted checking at Chawla Nursing Home, Preet Scan Center, Hunar eye Hospital, Rama Charitable Hospital, BL Kapoor Memorial Hospital, Rattan Hospital, Harcharan Nursing Home, CMC Hospital, Binder Hospital, Kakkar Hospital, Raghunath Hospital, Vardhman Hospital, GK Hospital, SPS Hospital, Gurdev Hospital, Lifeline Hospital, Mediways Hospital, Dhuri Hospital, Kiran Hospital, Pahwa Hospital and Mittal Hospital.
Dengue larvae were found in three coolers at the CMCH, one cooler at Gurdev Hospital, and one cooler at BL Kapoor Hospital. The larvae were destroyed on the spot.
The hospitals were asked to maintain cleanliness and dry the coolers every week.
