Hoshairpur's Bunty adjudged Mr North India

Bunty from Hoshiarpur was adjudged Mr North Zone in the Bodybuilding Championship-2017 held here today.

He was given a cash prize of Rs50,000, while Vikram Kumar of Delhi was declared the first runner-up and he pocketed a cash prize of Rs20,000. Another participant from Delhi, Rahul Yadav, was adjudged the second runner-up and received a cash prize of Rs10,000.

Around 400 participants drawn from different parts of North India flexed their muscles in the bodybuilding championship organised by the Punjab Bodybuilding and Sports Welfare Committee (PBBSWC) at Nehru Sidhant Kendra here.

MLA Sanjay Talwar inaugurated the championship, in which a number of women participants were also seen in action. Member of Parliament Ravneet Singh Bittu and MLA Surinder Dawar were the guests of honour.

Gurvinder Dosanjh, Chairman, PBBSWC, welcomed the guests and wished participants good luck. Cash prizes worth Rs2 lakh were given to winners in different weight categories.

Manpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh, Guriqbal Singh Sohi, Shamsher Grewal, Harvinder and Ramesh, all members of the organising committee, were also present.

Below 70-kg): 1) Vikram, 2) Dinesh, 3) Anil, 4) Mohan Lal and 5) Jashanvir Singh.

Below 75-kg: 1) Vishal, 2) Parminder Bhatti, 3) Abhishek, 4) Deepak and 5) Sandeep.

Below 80-kg: 1) Vineet, 2) Sandeep, 3) Yadvinder, 4) Anil and 5) Ravi.

Women: 1) Sheela Prakash of Uttar Pradesh, 2) Kriti Arora of Haryana, 3) Kritika Sharma of Punjab, 4) Shreya Ahluwalia of Rajasthan and 5) Chander Paraksh of Punjab.
