The All India Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (AIFSFTI) requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central Government as well as state governments to implement the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme (BSCCS) in entire nation.
President AIFSFTI Dr Anshu Kataria said under the BSCCS, students who have cleared Class XII board exams will be able withdraw up to Rs 4 lakh from credit card as education loan.
RS Munirathinam, chief patron, AIFSFTI urged PM Modi that education is a key to make country a super power. Due to delay in scholarships from the Centre, state governments and education loan from banks, we are lacking behind.
KVK Rao, general secretary, AIFSFTI urged the government to withdraw the April notification which states that SC/ST students will first give fee. He said students from weaker section of the society cannot afford higher professional education.
Kataria said the BSCCS is a success story and other states should also implement it for needy students.
