Bollywood alone does not suffer from sexual harassment. It is everywhere — in corporate world, at bus stands, railway stations, said stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma, while commenting on the allegations levelled by Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta against Nana Patekar.

“I am not much aware about the incident, but it is bad. I just hope people with such mindset change their thinking,” said the comedian, who was in the city to promote the Punjabi movie produced by him — ‘Son of Manjeet Singh’.

While interacting with the media, he said he produced the film because it had a message for the masses — “Do not force your children unnecessarily. Parents should support their wards. They must understand their kids for their overall growth.”

“It is a different movie, meaningful, not a comedy. The film has been directed by one of my very good friends. I liked the script and support it whole-heartedly,” he said. He said he was going to come back on the silver screen and hoped the audience would shower love and affection on him again.

Gurpreet Ghuggi, Punjabi comedian and actor, who is playing the lead role in the movie, said in 2003 when he debuted in movies, the scenario was very different. He said it was the media, who had brought a sea change in Punjabi cinema. “Since then, we have grown so much. Punjabi cinema is at the third or fourth place in India today,” he said.

Kapil said Ghuggi did not charge a single penny for the movie. Ghuggi said: “Ardas was my best movie and after that it is Son of Manjeet Singh, which is close to my heart.”
