Ludhiana: With the aim of initiating a step towards social and mental development, Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, organised a mega event to celebrate International Yoga Day on college campus, with the co-ordination of 3Pb Girls Bn NCC, Ludhiana. College principal Mukti Gill and Commanding Officer Col JS Bali joined hands to celebrate the day. Associate NCC Officers of 14 different institutions, members of the PI staff and nearly 200 NCC cadets assembled in the college ground early morning to perform yogasanas from 7:00 am to 7:35 am. The cadets practiced various asanas such as Vajrasana, Taadasana, Bhujangasana, Triconasana, Ardhchakrasana, Bhadrasana, Ushtrasana, Makrasana, Shavasana, Sarvaangasana and many more. Principal appreciated the efforts of the NCC Department.
BCM College
International Yoga Day was celebrated with full zeal and fervour at BCM College of Education with the aim to spread the awareness about yoga and its benefits. Nishtha Vohra and Cheshta Vohra enthusiastically demonstrated different asanas such as surya namaskar, Uttanasana, Tadasana, Trikonasana, Kapalbhati and Vajrasana, among others. Students and staff raised the slogans, Yoga apnaye, shareer ko swastha bnaye and Jisne yoga apnaya, Rog ko hameshaan ke liye dur bhagaya to mark the success of International Yoga Day celebrations.
Partap College of Education
The week-long yoga camp organised in Partap College of Education concluded today with the celebration of the fifth International Yoga Day. Students and the members of staff enthusiastically participated in the event. Various yogasans were performed under the guidance and supervision of assistance professors Ram Paul and Dharam Singh. The concluding day was marked with spirited and motivating lectures from various speakers disseminating the benefits and importance of yoga.
AS Group of Institutions
The AS Group of Institutions, Khanna, celebrated International Yoga Day on its campus. Under the guidance of Prof Devinder Kaur, the participants performed various asanas and received knowledge about the advantage of each aasan in improving theoverall health. The participants enjoyed the activity and assured to inculcate these asnas into their exercise regime. Director of the institution Harpreet Singh appreciated the efforts of Devinder Kaur and the staff. He laid stress on the fact that such activities helped in integration of society.
