Lawyers’ Day celebrated

The RIMT School of Legal Studies organised a free legal awareness camp at Humbran village to mark International Lawyer’s Day yesterday.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Hukum Chand Bansal, Chancellor; Dr AS Chawla, Vice-Chancellor; Dr BS Bhatia, pro Vice-Chancellor; and Dr Jyoti Angrish, HoD, Legal Studies.
Assistant professors Dr Parminder Singh and Jaspreeet Kaur of dept of legal studies gave free legal advice to people at the camp on the various legal matters such as human rights violations, workman’s compensation, labour laws and laws relating to curb atrocities on women.
The students of the department also assisted the teachers by giving suggestions to around 150 persons present at the camp.
