Library in memory of Bhagat Singh comes up in Jamalpur
Ludhiana, April 3
A function was organised at LIG Colony in Jamalpur area of Ludhiana in memory of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Raguru and Sukhdev on Tuesday. The function was organised by Naujawan Bharat Sabha in association with Karkhana Mazdoor Union, Textile Hosiery Kaamgar Union and Bigul Mazdoor Dasta.
A library dedicated to legendry martyrs was also inaugurated on the occasion. A large number of people, including youths and women, were present during the inauguration of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Library. Punjabi Sahit Academy Ludhiana general secretary Dr Surjit Singh visited as the chief guest and inaugurated the library. Singh motivated the youth to follow the path shown by martyr Bhagat Singh to take the country to new heights of success. He also appreciated the initiative of opening the library in the area.
A drama written by Davinder Daman on the last days of martyr Bhagat Singh in jail was also staged during the function. The children of Dastak Manch presented revolutionary songs during the function. Karkhana Mazdoor Union activist Lakhwinder Singh and Rajwinder Singh also addressed the gathering. — TNS
