Hosts Ludhiana along with Amritsar won overall trophies in the 31st Punjab State Roller Skating Championship that concluded at Leisure Valley Rink, Sarabha Nagar here today.

Ludhiana skaters stamped their authenticity in the in-line speed skating as they secured total 71 medals, including 36 gold and 27 silver, to lift the overall trophy while participants from Amritsar proved their mettle in the quads skating to secure the overall trophy.

Around 450 participants from all districts vied for top honours in different age groups in the boys’ and girls’ sections during the five-day championship.

TBS Gill, JS Dhaliwal, Inderjeet Singh and Sanjeev Ghai and other office-bearers of the Punjab Skating Association and District Roller Skating Association, Ludhiana, were present at the prize distribution function.
