Ludhiana district, LBA register two consecutive wins in basketball c’ship

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana district besides the Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) and Patiala Wing recorded second consecutive victories in the ongoing Punjab State Inter-District Schools Basketball Championship for Boys (U-17 and 19) being conducted at the Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.

Ludhiana, November 11

Ludhiana district besides the Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) and Patiala Wing recorded second consecutive victories in the ongoing Punjab State Inter-District Schools Basketball Championship for Boys (U-17 and 19) being conducted at the Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.

In the boys’ U-19 section, LBA overwhelmed Fatehgarh Sahib 66-26 and Ludhiana district defated Muktsar 72-60 .

In the U-17 category, Patiala Wing outperformed Hoshiarpur district 61-37 and Ludhiana district overpowered Moga district 55-26.

Rupinder Singh Ravi, state organiser, Punjab Schools Education Board was the chief guest on Sunday.

Swaranjeet Kaur, District Education Officer, Bikramjit Bhanot, Assistant Education Officer (Sports), Manpreet Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Makhan Singh Sahnewal and Kesar Singh among others were also present on the occasion.

  •  Boys (U-19): Jalandhar beat Bathinda 52-25; Ferozepur beat Ropar 47-36; Ludhiana Basketball Academy beat Fatehgarh Sahib 66-26; Amritsar beat Sangrur 61-42; Ludhiana beat Muktsar 72-60; Hoshiarpur beat Mohali 35-13; Fatehgarh Sahib beat Moga 51-37; Ghuda Wing beat Fazilka 55-43; Faridkot beat Tarn Taran 44-28 and Kapurthala beat Sangrur 33-18
  •  Boys (U-17): Bathinda beat Barnala 66-39; Patiala Wing beat Hoshiarpur 61-37; Mansa beat Gurdaspur 45-19; Ludhiana beat Moga 55-26; Jalandhar beat Moga 63-26 and Kapurthala beat Tarn Taran 38-13
