Man needs help for heart surgery

Sonu Kumar, a 35-year-old tailor, was suffering from rheumatic infection which caused his heart’s valve to become tight and it started leaking.
He was advised to undergo a heart valve surgery as soon as possible by various hospitals across Punjab. However, he was discharged by all of them because of his inability to pay for the surgey.
Now, he has been admitted to the Cardiac Care Centre of the Ludhiana Mediways Hospital and continues to suffer. Dr Harinder Singh Bedi, Chairman, Cardiac Sciences, said it was apparent that Sonu Kumar suffered from pulmonary edema and his heart was in danger of further damage if a surgery is not performed soon.
The hospital is helping the patient and giving him major subsidy. Any donations may be made directly to Sonu in Ludhiana Mediways Hospital where he is undergoing treatment or may be sent to: The General Manager, Ludhiana Mediways Hospital, Ferozpur Road, near Octroi Post, Ludhiana - 142012. Any cheque may be made in the name of ‘Cardiac Care Centre - a unit of Ludhiana Mediways Pvt Ltd’, with ‘donation for Sonu’ written at the back.
