Meharban SHO suspended for biased probe

Ludhiana, March 12

Meharban SHO Jarnail Singh has been suspended for allegedly conducting a biased probe in a land-grab case.

Action against the SHO was taken following a complaint by a resident of Meharban, Surinder Pal Singh. The complainant had alleged that some persons tried to encroach on land which he had donated to a gurdwara around three decades ago. He alleged that the SHO neither took action on his complaint.

The inquiry into the case was conducted by Additional DCP-4 Rajveer Singh Boparai. He said they had received a complaint that the SHO had not reached the spot to stop land grab. After conducting the probe, Jarnail Singh was suspended, he added.— TNS
