India’s ‘MeToo’ movement is a good initiative taken for the dignity of women. People say consider men, women as equal, but for me, women are much more superior and society must give them due respect.

These views on sexual harassment against women were shared by Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor for whom age seems to be just a number. Kapoor was in the city today to inaugurate a showroom of Malabar Jewellers.

Dressed in off-white kurta-pyjama with cream coloured jacket, Kapoor impressed all with his wit, humour and down to earth behaviour. On his maiden visit to the city, the Mr India actor said the moment he entered his hotel, he asked for black dal and paneer.

“Though I did not eat chicken, the Punjabi speciality due to ongoing Navratras, I thoroughly enjoyed dal and paneer with tandoori rotis. I wanted to taste this for long. I will return to the city soon for non-vegetarian food,” the actor said.

On being asked how he looked so young, Kapoor answered in his witty manner, “I don’t look young, I am young. The credit for good looks goes to my parents, their blessings, alloo paranthas and tasty lassi served by my mother when I was young.”

On his love for Punjab, Kapoor said his parents speak Punjabi and he, too, can speak the language well. “Whenever I did Punjabi roles, I spoke the language in my movies. All these movies were hit. If given a chance, I will definitely do a Punjabi movie,” he added.

“Nayak movie is close to my heart, besides several others. If you compare Punjab with Mumbai, there is freshness here in Punjab. The atmosphere is healthy, the air is fresh and you feel relaxed here. You don’t get these things in Mumbai,” he said.
