Munjal to be inducted into Asia Pacific Golf Hall of Fame

Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of Hero Moto Corp, will be inducted into the Asia Pacific Golf Hall of Fame this year. He is being inducted into the Hall of Fame for his unparalleled support and commitment to the game of golf in India and across the world for more than two decades.

With this, Dr Munjal joins legendary golfers such as Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and other leading golf personalities, including Dr David Chu, the founder of Mission Hills, the world’s largest golf resort.

According to a release issued here today by the Hero Moto Corp, Pawan Munjal’s induction into the Hall of Fame was announced by Mike Sebastian, CEO of the Asia Pacific Golf Group, the owner of the Asian Golf Hall of Fame.

“His personal commitment to golf has seen Hero Moto Corp being a partner of all the three prominent tours — The PGA Tour, The European Tour and the Asian Tour. It is really an honour to be able to recognise Pawan Mhnjal and to bring him into the elite fold of some of the greatest names in golf,” the release said.

Besides his support of golf, the induction of Munjal serves as recognition of his invaluable contributions to nation-building and his strong commitment towards socio-economic development of India and in many other parts of the world, it read.

His induction into the Asia Pacific Golf Hall of Fame will be permanently installed at the Dr David Chu Golf Museum at Shenzhen in China, the new home of the Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony will be held on November 6 at the Asian Golf Awards Gala Banquet, to be held at the multi-award winning DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram (Haryana).

Pawan Munjal has also always been a keen supporter and promoter of golfers around the world. Top Indian golfers such as Anirban Lahiri, Shiv Kapur and Sharmila Nicollette have been brand ambassadors of Hero Moto Corp.
