New Swan Enterprises ‘A’, Deepak Fastners victorious

Ludhiana, November 21

The New Swan Enterprises XI ‘A’ and the Deepak Fastners Ltd XI scripted victories in the ongoing 4th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament being held at the Satish Chander Dhawan Government College ground here.

In the match played between the New Swan Enterprises ‘A’ and Asian Cranes and Elevators XI, the former came out victorious by 32 runs.

Batting first, New Swan Enterprises scored 158 runs after losing eight wickets. In reply, the Asian Cranes and Elevators XI made 126 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

Tajinder Singh of the winning side grabbed three wickets for 30 runs and was declared the man of the match. In the second match, Deepak Fastners Ltd XI thrashed New Swan Multi-tech Ltd XI ‘B’ by 78 runs.

For the winning side, Amritpal was the top scorer with 38 runs and DP Maur scalped four victims for 29 runs.

Pardeep Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, inaugurated the tournament in which eight teams from corporate houses are taking part. Upkar Singh Ahuja, president, CICU, was the guest of honour.
