Jasminder Sandhu is state INTUC president

Congress leader Jasminder Singh Sandhu, former chairman of the Sahnewal market committee, has been appointed as the state president of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC).
Dinesh Sundriyal, national president of the Indian National Trade Union Congress, gave him the appointment letter at Delhi recently. Sandhu was extended a warm reception by Congress leaders and workers here today. Sandhu is expected to handle the labour movement of the INTUC.
Jasminder Sandhu told the Ludhiana Tribune that as the state INTUC president, he would try his best to come up to the expectations of the office assigned to him. He said he and other leaders would work towards the solving of problems of labourers and workers in the state.
He said he would work towards implementing the policies of the INTUC in the state. He said he would look into it that workers were happy and satisfied with the working conditions and get their due.
