Income-Tax sleuths raid Bath Castle

Sleuths of the Income Tax Department today raided Bath Castle, a resort, located on Pakhowal Road here. The resort is generally booked for wedding parties.

The department officials also raided its branch in Jalandhar and the residential premises of its owner in Nakodar. Sources said raids were being conducted at 17 places, which included official and residential premises, of the resort owner.

Many incrementing documents were reportedly seized during raids. Officials are hopeful of finding unaccounted money as well. Bank lockers and computers are also being searched for records. The raids were conducted on directions of Parneet Sachdev, director investigations, I-T Department.
