Ludhiana, March 10

Baljinder Kaur, student of host Satguru Ram Singh Government Polytechnic College, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana, and Mehakadeep Kaur of Government Polytechnic College, Amritsar, were declared the best players in kho-kho and badminton, respectively, during the Inter-Polytechnic Colleges Games that concluded here today.

Competition in two disciplines — badminton and kho-kho — was held during this two-day event for girls, in which participants from different private and government polytechnic colleges from all over the state took part.

In kho-kho, SRS Government Polytechnic College, Ludhiana, emerged as champions, while Government Polytechnic College, Patiala, and Chandigarh Polytechnic College, Gharuan, secured the second and third position, respectively.

Similarly in badminton, Government Polytechnic College, Amritsar, bagged top honours, while SRS Government Polytechnic College, Ludhiana, finished as runners-up. Government Polytechnic College, Khunimajra (Mohali), secured the third position.
