Polls held for cooperative house society

Ludhiana, September 16

Elections for the Ludhiana Aggarwala Cooperative House Building Society were held on Sunday under the Punjab Cooperative Society Act 1961. As many as nine directors of the managing committee were elected.

Out of nine seats, two were reserved for women, one for schedule caste and six were for general category candidates. Indu Gupta and Monica Goel were elected from seats reserved for women candidates while Gurcharan Singh was elected unopposed as schedule caste candidate. In general category, Pawan Garg, HR Goel, Ram Kumar Gupta, Ashwani Goel, Suresh Jindal and Vipin Singhania emerged victorious.

General body meeting of the society would be held in a few days during which office bearers of the society would be elected.
