NSS volunteers take Swachhta Shapath

Ludhiana: As per directions of the Central Government, the Swachta Pakhwada was observed at Government Science College, Jagraon, under the guidance of college director Gurcharan Singh. A special programme was organised in which the NSS volunteers took a cleanliness oath and pledged to keep their campus and surroundings clean. The “Buddy Programme” was also launched in the college to create awareness about the ill-effects of drugs.

MCom Semester-IV results

Students of the Khalsa College for women, Civil Lines, have excelled in the MCom Semester-IV examinations, results of which were declared by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Gursimranpreet Kaur has bagged first position in the college and eighth in the university by securing 82.18 per cent. Preksha Mehra and Kajal stood second and third in the college by securing 81.46 per cent and 80.16 per cent, respectively. A total 42 students secured first division and 38 passed with distinction.

SCD Government College

SCD Government College has grabbed four university positions in MCom Semester-IV examinations. Simran Kaur stood first in the university by scoring 2367/2800 marks. Radhika Jain and Ravneet Kaur secured third and fourth positions by scoring 2319 and 2313 marks, respectively. Kritika Jain secured ninth position by securing 2300 marks. Principal Dharam Singh Sandhu congratulated the students, their parents and faculty members for this achievement.

Orientation programme concludes

Neophyte, a five-day orientation programme for students and parents, concluded at CT University. The purpose of this orientation was to familiarise new students about the campus and faculty, and provide them basic details of academics and examination. Students attended guest lectures, seminars, workshops and various fun-filled activities. Domain-based activities such as cyber security, mechanical workshop, 3-D printing, clay modeling, dining etiquettes, among other were conducted. Manbir Singh, managing director, wished good luck to the students for a new beginning.

Water Conservation Day

Environment society of the Government College for Girls, celebrated water conservation day on campus. Students highlighted the importance and methods to conserve water through PPTs, speeches, poem recitation and posters. The college also took initiative to construct rain water harvesting unit. TNS

BA Semester-II results

Khanna: Student of the AS College for Women have scored excellently in the BA Semester-II examinations. Sita bagged fifth position in the universitywith 88.75 per cent. Anjan Kumari stood second in the college with 85.55 per cent, followed by Mehak Sharma with 85.50 per cent. The pass percentage of the college is 100 per cent. OC
