BSc (agriculture) third year students of the College of Agriculture at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) continued their stir on Friday as well.
On Thursday agitating students and the authorities failed to reach consensus during the meeting.
Students protested at the College of Agriculture and refused to take part in the training programme on white fly. They accused authorities of preponing the training period to seventh semester instead of eighth semester.
Shivpartap Singh, a student said, “The authorities have not come out with a viable solution. Students will not join the training programme in seventh semester.”
Dr SS Kukal, dean, College of Agriculture said, “ Over 30 per cent students have started the training programme on Thursday. Students need to understand that the training session is for their benefit only.”
