Former MLA-cum-district president, SAD, Ranjit Singh Dhillon was pickpocketed during the shobha yatra on the eve of Valmiki Jayanti at Daresi on Tuesday.
Dhillon was accompanying the SAD president-cum-former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal who came to participate in the procession organised by the Valmiki community.
Dhillon said due to huge rush in the procession, he could not sense when someone pickpocketed his wallet. "My purse contained Rs 25,000 cash, Vidhan Sabha Ex-MLA ID card and a driving licence. I have filed a complaint at police division no. 4," Dhillon.
