Prank around bonfire lands girl in hospital

Ludhiana, January 2

A prank around a bonfire cost a four-year-old girl dear at EWS Colony, near Samrala Chowk, here today. She suffered 30 per cent burns after one of her friends mischievously poured kerosene on her.

The victim has been identified as Ruhi. She was rushed to the Civil Hospital where doctors referred her to the multi-speciality hospital.

The incident took place in the evening while the victim, Ruhi was playing along with her friends around a bonfire.

Suddenly, one of the boys, who was carrying a bottle of kerosene, poured it on Ruhi. In no time her clothes caught fire. Her mother and the local residents rushed to douse the fire.

The police was informed about the incident.

Foetus found

Earlier during the day, a foetus was found in the same area. The police has registered a case against an unidentified woman.
