Property tax, sewerage bill rebate till Jan 15, 2018

The Department of Local Bodies has decided to extend the date for submitting property tax, water and sewerage bills with 10 per cent rebate till January 15, 2018.
The Municipal Commissioner has asked the residents to avail themselves of this opportunity, where they will not be asked to pay the interest, and given 10 per cent rebate on tax and bills. Between January 15, 2018, and April 15, 2018, 10 per cent interest will be levied. If anyone still fails to deposit the taxes, 20 per cent penalty will be imposed on property tax and additional 18 per cent interest levied, said the Commissioner. TNS
