PTU results announced
Ludhiana: IK Gukral Punjab Technical University released the merit list of examinations of various courses on May 23. Students of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, brought laurels to the institute through their brilliant performance in the final examinations conducted by IK Gukral Punjab Technical University in April 2018. A total of 33 university positions were secured by the students of GGNIMT in different streams. As many as 19 positions were bagged by the students pursuing bachelors in hotel management and catering technology, while seven positions were taken in their kitty by the students of MBA, five positions by the students of BCom (Hons) and one position each by students of BBA and BCA. A total of 12 students have stood first in the university, nine students have stood second, while the remaining 12 students grabbed positions from third to tenth in the university. Bhupinder Kaur, Mahipinder Singh, Meenakshi, Parminder Kaur, Dixit Verma, Geetu, Rahul Saini, Shiv and Vikas Katnoria, all from bachelors in hotel management and catering technology, topped the university with 10 SGPA each. Gourav Kumar, Harmanjot Kaur, Jagdeep Singh, Lovejeet Singh, Roshan Shreshtha, Hardeep Singh, Pawandeep Kumar and Akash Chawla, all from bachelors in hotel management and catering technology, stood second in the university with 9 SGPA each. Maninder Kaur of BCom (Sem II) topped the university with 9.17 SGPA, while Manpreet Kaur of MBA stood second in the university with 9.14 SGPA, followed by Ajay Kumar, a student of BCA, who stood third position in the university.
GNIMT students bring laurels
Students of Guru Nanak Institute of Management (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, proved their mettle by bagging five merit positions in the top ten list of MCA Semester IV. Meenu Rattan and Navdeep Saini secured first position with 9.40 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA). Randeep Kaur bagged second position with 9.20 SGPA, while Navneet Kaur bagged third position with 9.00 SGPA, followed by Kiranpreet Singh with eighth position and 8.60 SGPA.
Gulzar Group of Institutes
Students of the Gulzar Group of Institutes brought laurels to the college by excelling in PTU examinations. Devesh Sehgal from BTech auto mobile and engineering (Sem VI) stood third in the university level with 8.38 SGPA, while Hanish Katwal got 7.9 SGPA. Gaurav Puri scored 7.85 SGPA, followed by Mayank Kakkar with 7.72 SGPA. Sadokpam Bandarani Devi from BTech civil engineering (Sem IV) secured 9.46 SGPA, followed by Karandeep Singh with 9.36 SGPA. Mudasir Rashid and Junaid Bashir Khan, both secured 8.57 SGPA, while Owais Ahmad Nakoo got 8.54 SGPA. Gurpreet Kaur from BTech electronics and communication engineering (Sem IV) got 8.93 SGPA. Jaspreet Kaur and Pushpinder Kaur from BTech computer science and engineering (Sem VI) got 9.24 SGPA, while Gagandeep Kaur secured 9.08 SGPA. Sukhwinder Kaur from BCA (Sem II) got 8.92 SGPA. Bhawanpreet Singh and Jaspreet Kaur of BCA (Sem IV) secured 8.75 and 8.54 SGPA, respectively. Parminder Kaur from MSc (Sem II) got 8.65 SGPA. Simarnpreet Kaur BCom (Sem IV) got 8.27 SGPA, while Navjot Kaur and Shaganjot Kaur, both scored 8.0 SGPA. Komaldeep Kaur and Rohini Thaper of BBA (Sem VI) got 9.25 and 9.0 SGPA, respectively. Hardeer Kaur and Ravinder Singh of BCA (Sem VI), both got 8.96 SGPA.
