The 27th Annual conference of the Indian Association of Clinical Medicine (IACM) was held at Greater Noida recently, where Punjab and Tripura Chapters were adjudged as the best for the 2018 – 2019 session.
President of IACM-Dr Sandeep Puri and General Secretary Dr Vikas Loomba received the award on behalf of the Punjab Chapter.
As many as 58 lectures were delivered during the conference. Speakers from Punjab included Dr Sandeep Puri on Sjogren’s syndrome, Dr Vikas Loomba on Jaundice in pregnancy, Dr Gursharan Sidhu on Hepatitis C virus infection, Dr Tarun Satija on Non resolving pneumonia, Dr RPS Sibia on Alcoholic liver disease, Dr B L Bhardwaj on Pancytopenia and Dr Gurinder Mohan on Swine Flu.
Dr Puri said such conferences were very important for updating the knowledge of doctors. In the present era, the conference on clinical medicine is very relevant and promotes the use of clinical practices to reach to the diagnosis. Dr Vikas Loomba said in the past one year, the Punjab Chapter of IACM organised 10 different CMEs and workshops.
