Ludhiana: Ryan International School, Dugri celebrated Purple Day in the school premises to make the tiny tots aware about colours and to tell them how they add beauty to things around us. Purple, the colour that represents the future, the imagination and dreams, spiritually calming the emotions, was thoroughly enjoyed by our little ones, the teachers said. The students came dressed in purple colour clothes. It was a pleasant and lovely day for the children. Excitement and laughter filled the air and the campus was vibrant with the purple colour. The children also brought many purple-coloured objects such as toys, fruits, vegetables, etc. Colour recognition was done by displaying these items and encouraging children to speak a few sentences on each object. Children took part with great enthusiasm in art and craft activities related to colour, thus reinforcing the concept of purple.
Students shine
Students of DCM Presidency showcased their artistic skills at the art competition organised by the Bhakra Beas Management Board at Panchkula. Tavleen Kaur of Class VI won the consolation prize and a cash award of Rs 5,000. Harnoor Kaur of Class IX and Manveen Kaur of Class VIII got a cash prize of Rs 2,000 and gift hampers worth Rs 1,500 each. They had made posters regarding the need to save the planet and tried to sensitise the public to use various resources efficiently. Principal Rajni Kalra congratulated the winners and their mentor Monika Madaan, the Head of the Art Department and motivated everyone to contribute in making the Earth a better planet for all the living beings.
Constitution Day celebrated
Constitution Day was celebrated here with great zeal and zest. The students from classes IX to XII participated in the celebration. A special assembly was organized for the celebration of the day. Students delivered speech on the constitution and its salient features. They highlighted the significance of celebrating the constitution day. They also recited the preamble. On this occasion, the different activities were conducted like “Reading of Fundamental Rights” and “Group Discussion”.
